The State of California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education has determined that International American University Extension (IAUx) meets the qualifications for exemption from regulation under the Act, pursuant to California Education Code (CEC) section 94874(f).

Purpose

IAUx was established for students who would like to increase their professional marketability without spending the time or resources that a degree requires. It can also be useful for individuals interested in making mid-career industry changes or those seeking promotion.

Nearly half of all working-age adults who have earned a bachelor’s degree have also earned some sort of non-degree credential. Not only are non-degree credentials usually quicker to earn than traditional degree programs, but they can cost less and demonstrate knowledge and skills in real time.
